Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Immunology

Research involving genetic diseases, polymorphisms, and epigenetics are carried out in this laboratory, in addition to projects where molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology techniques are applied to detect pathogens that cause human diseases.

Structure: unidirectional workflow, equipped with thermocyclers for conventional PCR, real-time PCR (96 and 384 platforms), automated extractor, equipment for gene cloning and transfection of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. Flow cytometer with sorter, reader for enzyme immunoassays and other techniques applied to cellular and molecular biology.
