Lent, time to rethink our life project
On this Ash Wednesday, we begin Lent period. He understands, through Catholicism, the forty days before Easter. It is time for discernment and forgiveness, for reflecting on our journey and rethinking our daily options, with the purpose of making them more enlightened and full of life. Thus, we are provoked to take actions that bring our life project closer to God's love project.
Inspired by the words of Pope Francis, “May hatred leave room for love, lies for truth, revenge for forgiveness and sadness for joy”, we are encouraged to potentiate an attentive look at our paths and the spaces where we are inserted, in order to ensure that love has a stronger voice and that truth, joy and forgiveness are the basis of our relationships.
These days, we seek inspiration in Jesus, who reinforced the importance of loving our neighbors as ourselves, remembering that we are all brothers and sisters. May Lent encourage and enlighten us to look at ourselves, our paths and choices, seeking to defend, transform and promote life.
