The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) released this Monday, August 20, the result preliminary of Institutional Internationalization Program (Capes / PrInt) . PUCRS was one of the 25 higher education institutions (HEIs) contemplated a> with resources, of which 20 are public and only five are private. The 2018 resources will be allocated to projects beginning in November, with a term of 4 years. As of 2019, Capes plans to invest R $ 300 million per year in the Program.
The notice, opened in November 2017, mobilized the efforts of the Pro-Rectory for Research and Post -Graduação and International Cooperation Advisory . According to Pro-Dean Carla Bonan, “the approval of this proposal certainly represents a milestone for the internationalization of PUCRS, with the development of priority themes in the areas of research and graduate studies and the consolidation of international strategic partnerships”, he evaluates. < / p>
About Capes / PrInt
Conceived to develop and implement the internationalization of the areas of knowledge chosen by the selected institutions, Capes / PrInt also aims to stimulate the formation of international research networks. With this initiative, Capes intends to expand actions to support internationalization in graduate school and the consequent improvement in the quality of academic production from this segment of education. The mobility of teachers and students is also foreseen in the scope of the Program, encouraging the transformation of participating institutions in an international environment.
