BraIns researchers attend European Congress of Nuclear Medicine

A group of researchers from the Brain Institute of RS went to Barcelona, Spain, to participate in the European Congress of Nuclear Medicine. Ana Maria Marques da Silva, researcher and faculty at the School of Technology of PUCRS, presented three papers with her students.

The first paper identified a method to improve diagnosis, response to medication and evolution of multiple sclerosis. It was presented by one of his students, Phelipi Schuck, a Master’s student in Electrical Engineering program.

The other two papers were presented as a poster. The second consists of an experimental study on the quality of PET / MR images using PET data exclusively. Lastly, the third, consists of a computer simulation to estimate dose in neighboring tissues in an iodotherapy treatment. It was carried out by Electrical Engineering student, Nicollas Cavedini.
