During this period, she will follow the work of the Spanish David Vallez Garcia, an authority on image analysis techniques. The idea is to study new analysis methodologies in order to be able to apply this knowledge in your daily work at InsCer.
The trip takes place through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which is based in Austria, whose main objective is to promote the peaceful use of atomic energy: through nuclear medicine, PET / CT and development of new radiopharmaceuticals. This project, specifically, refers to the development of new radiopharmaceuticals marked with carbon 11, and the researcher Gianina received the scholarship from the IAEA through PUCRS / InsCer, where she operates. PUCRS is one of the Brazilian institutions that participates in the Agency's projects that grants grants for projects worldwide.
“I am excited, I think it will be a very productive experience, because the University of Groningen is a reference in image analysis. I hope to be able to absorb a lot of knowledge and then apply it here ”, says Gianina.
