Researcher Denise Machado spoke about “Integrity in Scientific Activity” and “Cases of scientific misconduct and its consequences”. “The work to avoid misconduct in scientific research begins when the group of researchers is formed. Older and more experienced people must guide younger colleagues, who often commit irregularities due to lack of knowledge ”, he says.
She also showed concern for science-oriented policy. “In Brazil, we already work miracles, with many difficulties to do science. And if research stops now, we will feel the consequences ten or fifteen years from now. I still hope that the current government will realize the seriousness of this and go back on the announced cuts, ”he said.
