Astronaut Minister Marcos Pontes visits InsCer for the first time
On the afternoon of this Thursday, the Brain Institute of RS received the visit of ministers Marcos Pontes, Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications and Osmar Terra, from Citizenship . The only Brazilian who was on a space mission, the astronaut Pontes showed a lot of interest in the research carried out at InsCer and was impressed with the current structure, when he got to know Radiopharmaceutical Production Center (CPR), where the cyclotron, particle accelerator equipment is installed. Curious, Pontes made several notes and questions about the equipment and the production of radiopharmaceuticals for the person responsible for CPR, Louise Hartmann , and physical João Alfredo Borges.
Pontes e Terra met with the vice-rector of PUCRS and director of the RS Brain Institute, Jaderson Costa da Costa, with the superintendent of Education, Research, Development and Innovation and prof. School of Medicine, PUCRS, Douglas Sato , and International Affairs coordinator and Inter, Augusto Buchweitz . They talked about research with stem cells, artificial intelligence and others developed at InsCer related to children's learning.
