Registration open for the volunteer project in Lábrea

Out of fidelity to the charism of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, the Marist Network is committed to enhancing the construction of a culture of solidarity in its mission spaces. Attentive to this purpose, the institution launches the 2020 edition of the Projeto Lábrea which will take place between January 30th and February 14th . The initiative will make it possible to work with children, adolescents, young people and adults in the city of Amazonas, with the aim of providing personal and social transformations. In addition, it responds to one of the calls of the II Provincial Chapter , which invites the promotion of volunteering in emerging realities.

The project will continue the experiences of group volunteering that already took place in 2018 and 2019 and will provide five people with educational, pastoral and training activities with local communities. It will also enable an approximation with some contexts and realities in the Amazon Region, cultivating a look of tenderness and sensitivity towards the different populations that live there.
