The Brain Experience, which takes place virtually on the 24th and 25th of July, is an offshoot of the Brazilian Congress on Brain, Behavior and Emotions (Brain Congress).

As a result of the current pandemic, the presence of the Brain Congress had its date changed from November 29 to December 2, 2020, in Gramado (RS). Until then, and with the new normality imposed in the current times, a new event, entirely digital, was created, the Brain Experience, which the director of the Brain Institute of RS and vice-rector of PUCRS, Dr. Jaderson Costa da Costa, will participate as a speaker and debater.

He gives the lecture “How are schools and universities dealing with distance education?”, on July 25, at 10:35 am. The theme invites us to reflect on how the pandemic accelerated the digitalisation of education (EAD) and how schools and universities, specifically PUCRS, had to deal quickly with this new scenario. In addition, it provokes thinking about how students and teachers were impacted by these changes and how the future of post-pandemic education will be: what will be needed to develop so that it is possible to learn more and better in person and at a distance, and with more interaction between these learning models.

The theme addressed by Dr. Jaderson is part of a multidisciplinary format, the nature of Brain Experience, and will be related to other relevant themes that make up the event's program. In addition, the virtual event, which takes place next week, between the 24th and 25th of July, is a complement to the face-to-face activities that will soon bring together specialists in different areas of neurosciences and related specialties, at the Brain Congress to be held at the end of this year.
In addition to the director of InsCer, Brain Experience brings other professionals from the institution, such as neurologist and organizer André Palmini, and psychiatrist and also organizer Pedro do Prado Lima.
