On the day that marks the Assumption of Our Lady, August 15, Marist Day is celebrated. The date chosen in reference to Mary, the patron of the Institute, invites us to reflect on the Marian values ​​that inspired the work of Saint Marcellin Champagnat. The celebrations take place in all the projects of the Marist Network. At PUCRS, a commemorative mass will be held at 6:30 pm at the Cristo Mestre University Church (Building 23 on Campus). Mass will be held at Hospital São Lucas at 4 pm in the hospital's amphitheater. Brothers, lay people, collaborators, students and Marist students continue Champagnat's mission, being a significant and transforming presence in the world. To celebrate the date and inspired by the theme Together, let us be a beacon of hope , a meeting was held between the characters of four stories, people who live the Marist charism and who are signs of light in the different mission spaces .
